« Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III tops a weak album year | Main | Song of the Day, Ron Asheton Memorial Edition »
From The Guardian: According to a new study, of the 13m songs available for sale on the internet last year, more than 10m failed to find a single buyer. I'm not sure we can draw as much out of this stat as the Guardian guy does - people know that music is largely free on the Internet, and they don't put it out there with the express purpose of "if this doesn't sell it's a failure." Still, it's a depressingly funny thing to think about. |
